A long time ago (okay so literally a few months ago), I stumbled across a little site called ManyVids.com. I already knew about the cam and vid making world but had never thought of it as a possibility for myself. Looking back, I wish I had done this way sooner. The benefits of this community are countless, so let’s count them! 

1. Mental Health 

One of the reasons I have always struggled with “normal” jobs is that I have myself a nice little collection of mental illnesses. My depression, anxiety, and personality disorder have made typical 9-5 jobs an actual nightmare. Between stressing over sales targets, dealing with awful customers, and mental health not being seen as a legitimate reason to take time off, I was seriously struggling. I was desperate for a job where I could work around my mental health. Then, in comes ManyVids - a shining beacon of hope! 

Being able to work in your own environment means you don’t have to force yourself out of the house when you’re too anxious to leave. You get to thrive in your very own safe space while making money at the same time. You don’t have to deal with managers or supervisors giving you criticism and you definitely don’t have to deal with frustrating customers who are “always right”. If anything makes you uncomfortable or anxious online, you can simply ignore or block. Gotta love that block button. 

If you are ever feeling depressed, angry or uninspired, you can simply not work that day. Ideally, you’d be active every day. But it’s the freedom to be able to make that choice, and not have to pretend to have a migraine or diarrhea to be given the day off because depression isn’t seen as a valid reason. 

2. Sexuality 

The next benefit of working on MV is that you get to fully embrace and explore your sexuality. Whether you are already a fully fledged kinkster with a room full of whips and dildos or a newbie without a toy to your name, there is a place for you within this community. Ultimately, we are all here for the same reason - to express ourselves and our sexuality. I’ve personally found a bunch of new fetishes that I love and would have never even known existed otherwise, such as WAM and body inflation. 

Oh, and we get to cum all the time. That’s a massive bonus too. 

3. Creativity

This industry has a tendency to attract creative beings of all kinds. And not a single ounce of that creativity needs to be stifled in order to be successful. In fact, sites like MV are some of the few places that truly accept and encourage real creativity. You do not have to hide any part of who you are. You are able to be your true, freaky self at all times and that is a very freeing experience. 

Physically speaking, your tattoos, piercings, and vibrant hair colours will never stand in the way of you working. You are able to put your WHOLE personality on display, knowing that who you truly are as a person is going to be what makes you succeed here. You can put everything you’ve got into your work to produce the type of creative content that you love. 

Of course there are many more reasons why working with ManyVids is so beneficial. However, these three are the ones closest to my heart. I’d like to seriously thank ManyVids and the entire camming and vid-making community for being a place for all of us to express and create.
