In 2012, I began performing on adult cam sites, in addition to local exotic clubs. I instantly fell in love with the industry and quickly understood how much effort is required to become successful. Some people believe that a person can simply appear in front of others and earn a substantial income overnight. I am here to say that this is a false understanding. I have been conducting exotic entertainment for nearly five years in various forms and have learned many things along the way. I’d like to share my four critical keys to success with you today to further the progress of my fellow MV Girls. Below are keys to my success and I hope you find them useful and beneficial to your personal and professional growth!

1) Customer service is critical!

Regardless of the business field you are in, you must treat the customer with the utmost respect and show gratitude for what has been provided to you through the generosity of others. Without your customer base supporting you, there is a zero probability to continue your business.  Whether I am on cam or filming a custom video for MV, I’m thankful for every tip (regardless of the amount) and always express my gratitude to my client through individual interaction.  

Some performers I have visited only pay attention to those that pay them extremely well while ignoring those that do not or not at all.  A perfect example of this can be observed in cam rooms where greys (persons who do not have tokens to tip) chat with the model.  Most models ignore these persons as there is no benefit from such interaction.  In my room, if you talk to me, I will chat with you.  This allows everybody to have a feeling of belonging. Plus, those that do not give to you today may start tomorrow once they find that special model. Be that special model!

Another way to look at it is what will happen to you once the big spenders leave? By operating in this manner, you would have positioned yourself to become isolated to a smaller client base and have shunned the masses. Everybody on adult sites or in exotic clubs (performers and customers) is a human and should be treated as such. The combination of gratitude and respect will see you become prosperous!

2) Open yourself up to new possibilities!

Other blog entries expressed the need to find a niche and I completely agree. I would like to expand the thought to be open to areas you may have not previously considered a niche in the past. A perfect example of this is feet and footjobs, as I’ve been walking around on mine for thirty-six years now and never thought too much of them. Regardless of on cam or in videos, clients continually express their interest in my feet. This has resulted in more foot related performances and an expansion in my client base. 

One of the greatest self-promotional artists of all time has to be Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson. During an interview, he discusses the importance of being true to yourself and opening new doors. After a failed career in the Canadian Football League, he turned to wrestling as it was the “family business”. After he learned he had to utilize the character “The Rock” as an extension of himself, he then became extremely successful in this career field. Following several years in the business, he furthermore expanded his career to include supporting movie roles. This resulted in becoming the star character of MANY feature films and today his client base is unmatched in my opinion. The interview, for me, illustrated how we should not be afraid to expand horizons while remaining true to ourselves. I believe there are no failures in life but events that teach us life lessons to develop the character within. What endeavors will you venture out on this year?

3) Set yourself apart!

There are many people on cam sites, many of them as well on MV, but what makes YOU different from the rest?  How can you market yourself to rise above others?  I understand that MV users can select from thousands of girls to purchase content and items from but what makes me different is interaction, whether it be on MV, social media or in my cam room.  I love chatting with people about anything going on in the world; it does not have to continually be about sex as the people we interact with daily are normal people and have other things on their mind as well. If you have followed me, I am sure you can see I love to laugh and like to keep things fun and entertaining.  Remember the goal is to sell sexual content so keep it sexy while having fun.

Understand how you can remain true to yourself yet set yourself apart from the crowd, and begin to focus your efforts toward this direction, utilizing the areas above and below to maximize your results! What makes you different than the rest?

4) Don’t be afraid of research!

Over my time I have learned the value of the time spent to conduct research. This comes in many forms; from understanding what your customers love about you and exploiting that, how promotional sites on social media react to your content, the ability to understand analytics of your social media platforms, to understanding what others like about your competition. The critical step in this is not just doing this but understanding how to link them all together. What are some ways you can track these considerations so it is understandable to you?

For me, the best method is to track numbers and relate them to the outcome.  For example, I know there are some promotional sites that retweet everything I tag them in based on the content of the post; becoming a reliable source to spread my content across social media.  There are others that have never retweeted so I very rarely utilize them in my promotional posts.  Why is that some do and others do not?  There could be many reasons! Some promote a certain type of girl that I may not be or it could be the content itself. Both of these are completely acceptable as they have their client base they support.  For example, tracking numbers have resulted in my understanding of images that will retweet the most often from the various sites. 

All of my research has resulted in me producing promotional content that is most attractive to the social media accounts I’m requesting to spread it. I highly recommend tracking your numbers to understand what works and does not work for you and then massaging your promotional technique! 

I leave you with these four simple keys to success that I have learned thus far in my career: treat all persons fairly and just, explore new possibilities, stand out above the crowd and do your research.
