My Journey to Getting MY FIRST Video Sale!
What I did to get to my very first sale.

In the excitement of seeing others flourish through ManyVids, I decided to take the leap and start up a page of my own to sell my amateur content. I was already skeptical of using a site to sell any of my work, but I decided it was time to use a more professional way to sell videos than just make them and email or send them through the Snapchat app.
For the first week, I put up as many videos and pictures I could to attract some attention. I knew it wouldn't be a success overnight obviously because of so many other models on the site, but I had faith that I would be somewhat as popular as I felt I was on other social media sites. However, weeks went by and still not even ONE sale, just looks!
A few likes and comments traded, but I didn't feel like I was progressing so I kept trying to make my page more appealing and promote it more. I didn't want to give up because I would look through others pages, videos, and items for sale, and others were succeeding with what I felt was less than I was putting out. I made sure to note any ideas I could from others though and the tactics they used that seemed successful.
I would get on my page daily and experiment with my profile picture, ways to enter contests, like and comment others pages, and of course promote the excitement of my work on all my social media profiles. In the back of my mind I knew people would probably come here wanting to see free stuff as people usually do, but if others could sell then I knew a sale would be coming for me, it was just inevitable.
I saw I was getting a ton of views but no buys still, so my promotion was working but I needed something to keep people wanting more from my page.
So I came up with the idea to make a FREE video just to pull in buys from possible potential loyal clients. The idea of giving something away for FREE is disheartening to some, but at times it's needed just to "bait" others in and catch their attention.
It instantly seemed like from that ONE free video and me linking my social media profiles to the activity of my page, and a little faith as well, that it was the perfect recipe to push my profile over the edge. Sure enough, I woke up to an email from ManyVids informing me I had made a video sale! All I could think of was "WOW my first sale!" AND from that I am FOR SURE now that there will definitely be more buys to come for me!

I have just started about a week ago I think. I have been trying to upload a new video every second date roughly to build content.
I woke up this morning with 2 sales and I was so excited.
I've been googling ways to build interest and what content to film. I hope to do well.

It took me a while between setting up and getting my first sale, too. I think some of the advice people give about selling vids can kind of make us expect things to move faster than they really do. Thanks for sharing your story! It's important for people to hear that things can be slow going, oftentimes!
