Hello MV Stars!
We have introduced a new feature on our site that will help all of you get noticed, and be promoted more.
Presenting, picture tagging!
Now you can tag your pics with category keywords, just like you do with your vids!
So from now on, when you upload a new pic on MV you’ll be able to tag them with relevant categories.
Here’s why the picture tagging is very important: the MV Team uses a lot of pics of MV Stars for your blog submissions, for upcoming banners/announcements and for promoting you on our social media platforms. So if your pics are properly tagged, that means there’s a higher chance that you will be promoted, and your blog submissions will be featured even sooner!
Also, the MV Mag team is always on the lookout for new MV Stars to showcase to our rapidly growing MV Community of over 1.2 million active members. Our MV Mag’s growing popularity is overwhelming and we want to share this success with all of our MV Stars. Our last issue was viewed over 80k times. So if you have a lot of pics in your profile and you tag them that means it will definitely catch some interest! Tag your pics so that we can discover you and have you as our next Cover MV Girl! From a customer perspective the MV Mag seems to want to reinvent Playboy or other glossies, just like eBay has moved towards pushing certain content (fixed price new item sales) at the expense of non-pro sellers. The profile top banners seem to show little apart from models who are already top ranked. It's quite annoying to have content that's rarely of interest relentlessly pushed via pop-ups and banners.

In regards to all of your concerns about the "recently uploaded" feature, unfortunately, we had no choice but to remove it because of the overwhelming amount of spamming that was happening. It ended up being unfair because models who actually did have new uploads, were being drowned out by those who were simply re-uploading their content again and again. We hear your comments and concerns, and even with so many projects in the pipeline at the moment, one of our priorities is a new and improved alternative to this feature and will be released soon to help you all!
Too bad it couldn't have been brought to our attention rather than just getting rid of it. I know I used it a lot but it worked and brought sales in.
I can't wait to see what this alternative is... really need something to replace the old feature cuz it really was one of the best things about mv!

Thank you so much for openly communicating with us regarding this, I have patently awaiting a new "recently uploaded" feature but the reasoning for not bringing it back makes sense. I'm super excited to see what this new feature is along all the others!
Oooh! So happy you are working on an alternative to this! My traffic has dropped so much since it was taken away that I'm selling less than half the clips I was before and haven't had any new customers from MV. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with to replace it. Honestly I'm just so relieved to hear you are working on something for it!! Thank you!
What is the possibility of adding more tags that pertain to the Trans community? Things like Sissy or sissy related or even sexual connotations to that community? It is non-existent now. Thank you.
So instead of letting us know, you took it away completely and made our sales tank, which also made your cut tank. That makes no sense at all.
This implies they’re not actually searchable though? Is it just so you guys can find people for the MV mag, or is it so members can search? Because the former doesn’t help 99% of models or their traffic.

Cool! There are a lot of hidden gem models in here that may be discovered and promoted.
Would still really love to see an area for members to see active models online so lower ranked models can be found easier and rise without the help of blogs and promos, and a tab with a recently uploaded feed. Maybe another tab in addition to All Activity and My Activity, Recent Activity.

Has this rolled out yet/will photos be a category listed now when a keyword is searched for? I did it with a couple photos (REALLY cool feature) but I'm not seeing anything pop up anywhere new.

This! The "recently added" section helped everyone and especially those who aren't always selling to get noticed by members! It was great internal promotion for your MV Stars. Can we bring that back? I know members would be interested to see what's new each day as well

Agreed! Stop adding stuff we don't need. A few of my old store members didn't know I had uploaded b/c of all the clutter on the main page. It shouldn't be that hard to find.

I think this picture tagging is useless for us. It only make it easier to MV to find something they might like to promote. what we really need is...... THE RECENTLY ADDED ACTIVITY FEED! And we need it in the homepage ,so guys can see whats new and it should be easy to find for members. It would encourage us to keep posting new content everyday. Now I dont see the point to make new stuff because it doesnt get any promo at all. I dont know why MV keep ignoring us ;(

yeah thats what I am thinking.. whats the point of me tagging every pic if its just for MV to sort through them easier? It would be worth the effort if MV had a section of recently added pictures for members. Members would love that too!
I use to be in the 70's to lower 100's. Since they did away with it I'm in the 200's now. It brought me in so much traffic and sales, I would trend 3-5 days a week at least. I think I've trended once in the past month.
ah same here, I've definitely noticed a difference. At this point for me MV is just becoming a hosting site. The sales I get are mainly from people I already know.
Which sucks. That's what helped set them apart from other sites. I promoted so much with that feature and it really helped tremendously.This was my main site and now find myself trying other ones because this isn't cutting it
exactly, because of this I can see myself and other MV Stars directing our members to a higher percentage payment site or method, rather than directing our members to MV when they keep 40% of our earnings. The only perk for me that MV had was internal promotion and traffic. Without traffic, they just become a middle man. I wonder with this announcement of increased "1.2 million active members" if they will also increase models earning percentage. Even just 5% to thank us for helping them achieve this.

To be honest, Im using MV as hosting site and selling my videos for giftcards, because I am directing traffic to this site, not the other way around anymore. I dropped from top 50 to top 500 in 2 months. Sales suck lately, page views are so little... I'm seeing myself in a situation where I'm looking for other sites because MV isnt cutting it for me now ;( Its sad because I left camming to work fulltime on MV and now I have to get back to live camming even though I dont like it!

I've noticed the top girls are always bringing traffic in from camming. Maybe that's the route to go. Just sucks bc I did so much promoting with the activity page and brought in a lot more traffic and sales that way. And not so much anymore.Yes we wanted the sales tracker back just sucks we got it back in place of something we liked.Just like when we wanted less contests instead of getting rid of every Wed contest they got rid of the daily grind. Which was nice bc it showed who was on top of every hour which was another great way to promote.Maybe they're making less money too and don't wanna

"1.2 million active members" probably has as much significance as "over 12,200 MV Stars" since most of those appear to get minimal traffic or sales (which became more evident with the way the post-sales-to-Twitter function was rolled out initially). Active over what period and does that mean that they've browsed the site whilst logged in within the last month/year/etc, downloaded a free video, bought something, or what other measure? At the moment I'm supposedly ranked 32 out of those 1.2 million, and ranking seems to be more ongoing sales than the social media aspects of the site, which implies things about average spend and repeat custom..
Only with the new ones? Like u can't go back and tag them?
