Hello all, my name is Lola and I’m going to tell you why porn saved me from my disability.
From birth I was quite a strange cookie, with one kidney, a 360 degree spinal twist, half my ribs missing, my shoulders wonky, acute scoliosis to add to the spinal issues, bone diseases, only one fully functional lung, cracked hip, Crohn's disease, two wombs (Yes you read that one right!) and the list goes on into the abyss of bullshit.
I did amazing at school but I was always in pain, stressed thinking there’s no way I could do anything I wanted to do in life. How could I be a lawyer when half the time I’m unable to move. I couldn’t be the vet I dreamed of. How would I pick up the animals? I studied over 7 A-level subjects including law, psychology, philosophy, English lit, arts, science and many more but afterward I felt utterly defeated at the daunting realization that most of these things require someone who’s a little more reliable. How could I be that person when I didn’t know what the next day would be like.
At 18 I had a conversation with my partner. I wanted to take back my life from these illnesses. I’ve always been a VERY sexual person and I looked into cam modeling. I bought a laptop and gave it a go. It didn’t last long, I just wasn’t in the mental state. Skip a few years later it was my 21st birthday. That day I decided to try again, but this time I wanted my own business, take control of my life. So after a long chat, my partner went out and brought me a £1000 computer tower and a HD webcam. He saw my passion and wanted to help me be successful. In that space of 24 hours, I changed my entire life.
With my first paycheck I bought a studio mic, and with the second a better background and more toys. My Raynaud’s disease meant I kept dropping my dildos and falling over but the guys were lovely and supported me. I climbed to the top of the site I worked on, the paychecks doubled, and I finally felt like I fixed my life and what fixed it? Porn.
Porn gave me that drive in life, the confidence and the financial security that my family and I need.
I’m still very sick and I’m the most unreliable person ever but porn gave me the freedom to work when I could. I started creating content on ManyVids in January and 2 months ago I worked to the bone to grow my ManyVids and went from MV girl 900 to 245 in 8 weeks with solid graft. I proved that even being disabled you can still hustle and you don’t have to be the vegetable the doctors say you would be. Porn saved my life and for that, I will always be grateful.
If you have a disability or you’re sick and you feel defeated, I believe in you, I believe you can do whatever you like in life and porn believes in you.

Thank you last year I had lost my ability to even lift a spoon due to chronic Fatigue syndrome, this year I worked my way back into the industry and little by little I'm getting my back and independent again. I can so relate

So many people look down on porn and tell us to "get a real job" yet they don't realize that some people started off with disabilities and still wanted to provide for themselves and their families.
I personally have Multiple Sclerosis (diagnosed in 2015), which affects me daily and makes it impossibly to hold a true job, and sometimes I admit does effect my camming, but actually filming my own porn and selling on the sites that I do supports myself, my fiance whom is disabled with 18 mental health illnesses, and my beautiful little daughter. Porn really can be a life saver, and the guys that actually are understanding and kind make the business all the better.

I love this!! I am disabled too with chronic illnesses and it's been so hard to keep a job. This gives you so much freedom while still putting in work into a craft

Great to hear that you find something positive that makes you happy, disability need not to drag you down, I have a genetic disorder that means brain tumours grow on and around my hearing, balance and facial nerves, being a camgirl I’m becoming more confident in who I am and others enjoying seeing me and enjoying seeing me is giving me a enormous boost
