The customer pays 40% more, and this kind of misleading tactic leads to confusion. Basically, the content creator is really earning 71% of the final price. We’re doing an 80% payout on Custom Vids with no hidden catches or fees so that it works for everyone involved!

Do custom vids have to be MV exclusive to get this promotion?
Wouldn't have thought so, just ordered/paid/completed via the MV custom system. Unlikely they'd be going to spend time tracking what people sell elsewhere (even if that was stated, and in their favour they've demonstrated a very laissez-faire attitude to mentioning other sites, etc, which probably works out better for them overall in terms of traffic).

Thank you MV but i honestly think that 80% should be on regular vid sales. I'm sure you guys know this. People buy vids more than they order customs.
Please look into this! Other sites like AP pays 75% on everything! customs, tips and vid sales. If you guys really care about us extend the 80% to regular vid sales!

Definitely 100% applaud the higher payout for customs, but for 2019 could you try to stop (accidentally or otherwise) treading on sellers who aren't top-ranked? A lot of people I've bought content from have left over the last year or two, and things like this don't help.
[Similarly, the fact that vids aren't clearly marked as stream-only on store pages (where there are also add-to-cart links) but only on individual vid pages means that it's too easy to accidentally purchase inferior quality copies of content. This used to be a clip site, and it's annoying to have to double-check every single item. Plus the usual grips about streams/previews being a lot reliable since the site changes.]

Which is a bit more positive. But why move the goalposts in the first place and then have to backtrack? Why does there always need to be unnecessary drama that makes sellers want to go elsewhere?
And whoops, typing failure on the last line of that post... "Plus the usual gripes about streams/previews being a lot less reliable since the site changes."
It's particularly disappointing that this blog post is about there being "no hidden catches" but that with MVTube there apparently were until sellers found out and mentioned it on social media.
Great you pointevthat out peecee2, it is annoying when as a seller/MVtuber you are close to the next 1000 blick but just miss it by the skin of your teeth at the end of the month, so great that we shall now get at least a round off for those partial numbers

The majority of us make most of our earnings through regular Vid sales, it is amazing though that you have a 80% payout for customs now though, but having that 80% on regular sales would be bomb as heck
