LOL because they only promote good looking pornstars in their promos! Dont matter if they have on their profiles what MV promotes, lol, take a look at all their promos, its either good looking pornstars with a hot body or top earners lol

WELL SAID!!! IM WITH YOU!!! For me, MV has changed alot in this past year. To tell you I told all the truth about them about how unfair they are with small content creators and them going more towards the SFW videos now, and the 40% cut they take from videos, and guess what, they blocked me on twitter, LOL!!! Whatever we say, they CARELESS!! They only care in top earners, good looking pornstars, or multi millionare porn companies, comedians, and for MV Stars to promote them instead of them promoting them. To the few likes, its cuz many dont even bother in their news cuz its just lame and nothing new or they dont bother to make a change,  some mv stars have moved from platform tbh.

This does seem very stupid when it can't be difficult to do. I've seen free videos before I'd want to buy but couldn't.

(1/2) Aye, Kryten. We shouldn't have to plead with ManyVids to let us make them richer. They get a cut of every sale. 

It definitely isn't a question of difficulty. MV already *used* to do this! Creators were able to (optionally) sell 'download access' to as few or as many of their free vids as they wished. It was just like buying a normal video. MV also paid creators for views on free vids. All of this was under the umbrella of MV Tube, which was hyped a lot. They had expensive merch ... the whole nine yards. One day, they ended it abruptly.

(2/2) There's nothing stopping ManyVids from restoring these things, other than the misguided idea that communication should be a one-way street. MV tells us how it'll be and then plugs its ears if we don't like it. 

That top-down attitude towards us, the unwashed masses who CREATE the profits, is a big part of why people hate big tech corps. MV is entirely dependent on us (creators and consumers) for its profits. Seems only fair that we should have input. If our input isn't valued, the relationship becomes combative. Do we want to prop up a platform that extracts wealth from us but doesn't care how we feel? i wish MV could see that consistent, constructive, friendly two-way dialogue would make us far more agreeable. 

We don't need perfection. We do need respect (in actions, not just words). When we win, MV wins.

A worker co-op is the best example. MV would sell 100% ownership of itself to the workers (MV Stars). As the owners, every content creator who buys a membership share would have an equal stake and equal vote in every decision ... from payout percentages, to UI change proposals, to new merch etc ... you name it. 

In some countries cooperatives are the norm, not the exception. The clementines i bought last Christmas (they're like tiny oranges) came from a worker owned co-op. They do exceedingly well. ♥ Workers get a living wage; everyone feels heard in an equalized and fair decision making process; and workers who outright own the business, are much more invested in making it thrive.

i know this is unlikely to happen at all with ManyVids, much less overnight (especially if MV is hostile to the idea). i also know that financing a cooperative takeover of MV may be difficult ... though there are resources to help with this. All i know is it's an excellent idea. 

It helps that MV largely operates in a virtual space. Apart from server capacity (which can be outsourced), there's really no need for real estate or factories etc. An office, yes. But yeah. Making ManyVids a worker cooperative, where any MV Star can buy a membership share to collectively own and run it ... is possible!
