With every free vid we make, we rake in ManyVids views for their site on the whole. Meaning a percentage of those will buy something making them money not us. We need to make a stand and ask for more.
Exactly, Goddess FootKink. Why on Earth would creators want to put time, energy, money and creativity into enriching a profitable platform for nothing? Every other major platform (SFW and NSFW) monetizes 'free' vids.
ManyVids is effectively promoting trickle-down economics ... a far-right conservative ideology that crony capitalists love, because only the rich get richer from it. It has repeatedly been proven to NOT benefit workers. MV: "Yes. You're not unpaid interns, creators. All of MV's profits come from YOU. They have nothing without you. You should have the MOST say in how things run here ... not the least. MV should become a worker-owned cooperative. See my earlier comments. #MVCooperative = ♥

You HAVE to do better for creators, because the path you are on is not sustainable. The tighter you cling to more for you and less for creators ... the more you will lose. Try to see past your privilege and recognize the direction of the world, and of progress.
If you really want to save your wholly unnecessary framework for MV (i.e. a rich person at the top owning everything, getting most of the profit, and having all the decision making power over the rest of us) ... it is literally THE most reasonable request in the world that you do the bare minimum of what all your competitors do. Monetize free vids!
There is immense, intangible value in generating goodwill. If you don't value ours, you're hopeless. In which case, please sell the platform to the content creators. Creators don't need a plutocratic owner who doesn't value them, to make money. #MVCooperative

ManyVids: you've truly reached a new low in disrespecting the people who create your profits. Your competitors monetize 'free' videos; MV does not. Your competitors also allow downloads of 'free' videos to be purchased, as an additional means of monetization; MV does not.
Until you change that ('cause you had it once), #FreeOnMV can suck it. You love to extract wealth from creators and consumers ... but clearly don't value our input on how things should be. So why should we prop you up? It's a problem, and we don't have to cooperate.

Btw: this is not a crazy new idea. In some countries cooperatives are the norm, not the exception. The clementines i bought last Christmas (they're like tiny oranges) came from a worker owned co-op. They do exceedingly well. ♥ Workers get a living wage; everyone feels heard in an equalized and fair decision making process; and workers who outright own the business, are much more invested in making it thrive. Becoming an owner is as simple as buying a membership share (and only one share per person). i know this isn't an easy proposal. But it's worth looking into. ♥
Remember: all of MV's profits are created by YOU. You should have the MOST input into how things run here ... not the least.

If you care so much about exposure, being able to add our videos to more than 5 categories would be awesome. So would auto tweets (with a GIF) when we upload a new video, as well as fixing the issue for FUTURE videos not being launched on MV social or auto-tweeted. Literally such simple fixes.
