At ManyVids, we are not only trying to find ways to improve our platform, but we also want to improve our communication with the MV Community. We are thrilled to announce to everyone that MV has been working on implementing OBS, and the software will shortly be compatible with MV Live.
Before we can officially launch the software to the entire MV Community, we will be launching a Beta testing phase to ensure the integration of the new software runs smoothly. This testing phase will begin next week and run for a few weeks. It will also include 50+ MV Stars, so if this is something you are interested in being a part of, make sure to leave a comment on this blog post.
We are so excited to start working with MV Stars on the Beta testing phase so we can ensure everything is up to par when we officially launch OBS to the rest of the community. OBS offers so many great features for live stars, and we want our MV Live Stars to be able to take advantage of these perks as well.
The OBS software offers creators the ability to:
- Stream on multiple platforms at once.
- Brand and personalize their live shows, such as adding a watermark overlay on their stream.
- Manage stream quality settings, such as setting the resolution of your choice.
- Set hotkeys for different action types so you can switch between features smoothly.
- And much more!
Content creators have the option to get creative with OBS and optimize their revenues, and we are so excited that MV Live Stars will shortly have the chance to use this awesome feature.

I am just starting out here, and I have been trying to determine the best options to add watermarks, etc. I would LOVE having the experience of being able to be one of the first people to test it out and provide my opinion on everything. You can already use OBS to stream on Manyvids.
Have OBS open, When you select camera on MV click on the OBS cam.... done.
That is a virtual webcam emulation in OBS which is resource hungry. If you try that with a 3 cam setup your system will meltdown quicker than Chernobyl. This post is talking about native streaming OBS directly to MV servers.

I'm no OBS expert but I use obs pretty much religiously whenever I need to stream anywhere-that or x-split broadcaster. If you guys need anything tested let me know I've done beta testing for multiple programs over the years-including Hyperstream a phone-based way to stream yourself in live filters via OBS!

i already use obs's virtual camera for my cam stream and am really REALLY excited that i'll be able to use it fully without having to do any work arounds with my audio so i'm 100% down to try the beta

I would be more than excited to test this new feature, since I'm an OBS multi cammer on other places. This place is great, but really was suffering on the lack of RTMP streaming. If you do this, and get the lovense integration as well, I'm pretty sure this would became one of the best places to do live shows.
100% agree! I would love to do regular shows on MV, and RTMP streaming + proper lovense integration would be major steps in the right direction.
