Throughout the past year, The MV Community has come together and been stronger than ever. We appreciate every single person who is part of the ManyVids family, and we are so excited to announce that it is finally time to kick off the 2021 MV Community Awards!
Content creators are diverse, talented, and unique individuals, and every chance we get, we want to embrace them and let them shine bright! We want to recognize our community and give credit to all the hard work that goes into creating content and live streaming, whether it is NSFW or SFW; that is truly what the MV Community Awards are all about.
18 MV Stars will shine through and be crowned MV Community Award winners, and we will be giving back a grand total of $9,000 in cash prizes. Each winner will receive:
- a $500 cash prize
- an official colorful jeweled MV Crown
- an MV Gear prize pack (including never-before-seen MV Gear)
- an official badge that will appear on their MV Profiles for everyone to see!
How do the MV Community Awards work?
- There are 18 categories in total, all listed below.
- MV Stars can enter any of the applicable categories they wish to be part of.
- Once you enter, you must RT the MV Community Awards Tweet & Re-MV the MV Community Awards MV Social post to qualify.
- Voting will begin on June 25th, 2021, at 11:00 AM EST and will end on July 5th, 2021, at 8:00 PM EST.
- Once the voting window closes, the top 5 nominees with the most votes in each category will move on to the final round!
- The MV Team will then vote in-house to select the final winners. The winners will be announced on our social feeds & MV Blog on July 25th, 2021.
- The first category you decide to enter will be the one linked to the "Vote for Me" button on both your profile and your cam room.
Promoting your participation and the categories you have entered is a major key to success for being crowned an MV Community Award winner. Get ready to put your promo skills to the test and show everyone that YOU deserve to take home the win!

The thing I've never got is how many customers look at all of those 17 (or whatever in each year) separate "contest" pages? Even with one-topic "contests" how many people read past page 1? You can tell where the non-paid votes start because it's the same few accounts all the way down the rest of the page.
I am sorta the other way around, I go to the tail end and make sure content creators who have less than the three shown votes from different people get my vote
I even do this mid contest to help out late entries and get them started
When I look at "contests" I'm usually the same, start at the end, you can find some interesting and different creators that way, but it's quite depressing how low some people feel they have to price content in order to get any sales. I'd be fairly certain some people regularly "vote" just to take the piss and request the most expensive videos a creator has listed.

It makes absolutely zero sense why paid votes are only 60% payout. In a way, you can understand vids, they have to spend $$ on storage and whatnot, but paid votes!? why the hell would a paid vote be 60% payout? MV doesn't have to do anything, its just a transaction the same as a tip which is 80%, so why are paid votes 60%?
then you have the contest/competition which encourages MV Starts to sell through paid votes to win contests, and the more competition the better because MV cashes in on 40% of all that, without having to do anything at all since its all on the MV Stars to sell and offer deals.
It just doesn't make sense MV, why you so greedy?

There doesn't seem to be much traffic for "MV Boys" creators (or for trans creators). If you're ranked 305 and getting no sales, that shows how inactive all of the other "MV Boys" accounts are.
If you're working with other people, if MV still have the option of using Producer accounts that's probably the way to go -- otherwise buyers will filter out your content because they'll assume it's gay interest.
It is a living and thriving community and there is big money. I know this firsthand. However, the EXPOSURE is unequal. There are creators which are all the time in front of the customers, and then there is the majority which are basically unseen. It is built into the platform, and this is part of what the whole discussion we are bringing up with manyvids is about. So thats why you arent getting anywhere. part 2: setting up a bonus pay structure that is stacked against the smaller newer artists still struggling to get a following basically relays an impression of ManyVids saying "fuck you, when you make us enough money we will help you more."For a few years now, I have personally watched the contests go to a select few people. I have also learned the payout structure and also seen artists basically give away the bank so they can get votes to have a chance at winning. Due to this, when ever I do paid votes for models, I make it a point to go to the model and do my best to renegotiate their deals so that evens out their losses to equate to their take home pay as if I bought the videos from their store rather than in paid votes. I also take the time to go through most of the pages of entries and look for models that I would like to see have more recognition/following and do my best to bump them up as much as I can to help with exposure.
Yes, as a customer I strongly support and always buy from smaller newer artists who demonstrate AUTHENTIC sexuality. The models who score the least are always the most interesting. I work backwards on their contests and pay a lot of attention to the girls who score low. They are consistently more enticing than those in the top 10. Popularity contests are irrelevant! REAL sexuality and individuality are what matters!
I also start at the bottom of the list to vote. It seems the top girls are always the same. I would love to see a contest where there is ONE vote only no paid votes to even the field.

If an artist can not get into the top five they are shit out of luck.2 - Any kind of search feature that defaults to sorting or results that are stacked towards pointing customers to the artists that sell the most/make you the most money is a piss poor shitty thing to do.3 - A lot of the artists on your site are worth the time and effort to help support to enable them to make money so that you make money

I have participated in only a couple of contests, the overwhelming theme of which had been: I knew I wouldn't win. Contests are usually supposed to be a way to bring a community together and encourage creativity/ innovation. The contests on MV however are nothing but money grabbing schemes, with winners being chosen over who was able to squeeze the most tips out of their fans regardless of whether or not the work they submitted was even worthy of winning or met the criteria of the contest.
It is ridiculously frustrating having contests revolve around popularity of a creator and luck rather than any actual skill or effort. Smaller creators have also been pushed further and further towards giving away their content for a few measly votes in hopes for a crumb of increased traffic, which the site consistently promises and fails to deliver to anyone except the same 3 people who win most contests.

Most of the 89,000 seller accounts on the site are inactive and it's a bit difficult to believe that pays for 150 staff. Wouldn't the site work better and not break in ways that stopped sellers from being able to upload videos and do business? Cutting rewards and trying to stop people linking to other sites doesn't exactly paint a picture of a business that isn't having problems.
I heard that IWC top creators have a better percentage cut deal. I wonder is it the same thing on manyvids?

In some ways it's also like a pyramid scheme -- the "prizes" are paid for by redistributing a 40% cut of other entrants' sales, and those sales are made (in a lot of cases) by significantly reducing prices for content in the first place.

Also, need to make it easier for people to see your activity feed as a lot of times when I post something it’ll hardly be seen unless of course people are just ignoring it. MONEY have to be INVESTED into fixing the uploading system. I can't upload videos which are greater than 2gb! I had to cut a video into 2 parts to be able to deliver a custom order. It doesn't really sound as 2021 technology!!
I have complained about this and they told me that it is a problem on my end and NO ONE else had this issue.
To me they suggested to use incognito browser mode. I haven't tried it yet but next time I will just out of curiosity. However, on clips4sale you can upload it perfectly without any incognito modes. And they have updated their system recently.
UPDATE: It's the same damn thing if you upload a video via incognito browser. That's what I thought would happen because it's a problem on their end.

This is also definitely a recent change, cause l literally have videos l bought in the past from MV that are upwards of 4GB+

But the right thing would have been to take away the weekly contests, maybe kept some cute themed ones, and added more categories to your Top Earners page. Taking away our Top Earner Bonus' where potentially 1800 people would get exposure in the rankings + 122 opportunities to earn a monthly bonus, that also categorized us - is awful. You are going to take all that away and add only 2 more spots + bonus' to the weekly contests that are leaving models and members depleted? These contests are unrealistic for most models at this point.These regular contests hurt the relationships we have with our supporters, and force us to under sell our work. I cannot imagine what made Manyvids think this was a good idea.. You went from bad to worst. It feels like you purposely ignore everyone. Give us higher payout. Fix the navigation system. Add a mass messaging system. Give us the ability to message those who buy our videos so we can encourage those buying to buy our newer content. Spamming customers will just get you blocked. Anyone who's bought videos from hundreds of creators doesn't want unsolicited mail from all of them. It's bad enough that if you vote on one contest you get a load of spam from other model accounts and that MV does nothing about it.

As a fairly newer MV Star, I feel as though contests only help to promote your page. However, contests can't be the only thing you guys do to improve our traffic and income. We work hard creating content that is now expected to be given for votes to have a chance of winning. We want higher payout rates that are comparable to other sites, we want MV Tube back, we want better social features to help us navigate the site (such as a better mass message center, a better notification system so we can see when customers are commenting on our custom video page or if stars or members respond to comments, etc.); We want y'alls focus to be shifted towards making this site a better clip site with better ways to generate traffic besides all of these contests that are clearly geared towards those with a higher following.

Same, here since 2015 and I would also rather see higher pay outs than contests that cause me to give away content and are won by the same people. Even those winners can’t think that the prize would out weigh a constant 20% raise on video sale payouts. Contest do not drive sales for us. They drive discounted sales on an already discounted payout and traffic is not increased because the sales come from people who already follow us.
