That's a nice job you've got there. It even comes with a title. So you're the boss now, huh? You're the boss and I'm just the secretary. Your peers really think you've got it together, don't they? They think you've really got this whole man of the world performance mastered. Being the boss and all. As if the title is your identity. The role doesn't fit so well though, does it. No one told you it would be so high-maintenance. It's exhausting performing the same role day in and day out. You wouldn't want anyone to know that underneath the suit, the title, the role...you actually crave something else. The urge to shut down the performance consumes you. You just want to let it all go.
