It doesn't take a whole lot for a student to get in enough trouble to deserve detention. In fact, it's rather easy. But what Mr. Turner has in mind doesn't necessarily involved staying after school for being bad, but rather staying after school *in order* to be bad. It puts a whole new spin on "bad day in detention".
