"I had Elder Redelman and his companion over a couple weeks ago after they offered to help me with the yard work. While working together in the yard, I found out that Elder Redelman used to work in his family’s orchard, and that he had a lot of knowledge concerning gardening and the like. He spent his summer breaks helping his parents maintain the family orchard. His parents gave him independence and a strong work ethic, and as a result of his hard work and dedication he has a really nice build. He liked to complain about the lazy kids his age that live off of their parents (Most missionary missionary’s parents foot the bill). Elder Redelman had to save up money in order to pay for his mission. “People these days just don’t understand the concept ‘An honest days work for an honest days pay’ ” he said. After hearing this, I took the opportunity to offer him another job, but this time, for pay. He accepted and we ended up filming the next day."
