At work, you’re a bit of a quiet loner. You keep to yourself, not one to take part in potlucks, parties, or other company events. So when it’s announced that this year’s company Halloween party will include a costume contest, you know you should delete the invitation from your inbox and spend the day of the party hard at work at your desk like usual. But…it’s so tempting. An opportunity to indulge yourself in public where everyone can see. You already have the “costume” and the “props.” You could dress up and pretend you’re only being festive.
