"Dick Pic" - 5x7" charcoal on sanguine paper. This was my first tryout of this sanguine paper from Rembrandt. I debated whether or not to add in a little bit of highlights with white charcoal, but from looking at the paper pads cover, I found the white charcoal to be off-putting and decided not to add any. I do feel maybe there might have been too much focus on the boxer brief's because I really wanted this to be super minimal than my other minimally-detailed works, yet the brief's were black. I wondered if I should have just put a few simple details on it, or if it was fine because there is still that conspicuous (orange) rod right in the middle of it. Honestly, I could have just made it as if the boxer briefs weren't dark to begin with. My main focus really was to make this more about an outline with minuscule detail. I mean, it looks quite detail-lacking already, but for what I wanted, it's too much when it comes to the briefs. Overall, I am content with this and look forward to creating more of this style on this tone of paper.
