As a therapist, I should be used to crying by now. And usually it doesn’t bother me. But when you’re my patient for the hour…I can’t stand it. You’re crying constantly about your problems, your history, your responsibilities, and if you’re not actively crying, you’re at least whining and complaining. You’re a regular crybaby. “Someone should do something about that,” I think idly to myself one day. And then I realize, I could do something about that! After all, as your therapist, I’m in the perfect position to tell you hard truths and guide you toward the change you don’t even realize yet that you need. Don’t worry, sweetheart. Step-Mommy’s here to fix you.
