Your eating is out of control. You binge weekly, if not daily, and you’ve packed on so much weight you don’t even recognize yourself anymore. And, worst of all, you feel so ashamed and guilty for your eating and your weight gain. So you start seeing a counselor, hoping she can cure your food issues and help you lose some weight. She’s much more interested in helping you lose the guilt, though. There’s nothing wrong with stuffing your face and getting fat, she tells you. If anything, she’s glad to see it!
