[06-2022] Deborah is in the procedure room for an ECT she's requested to help with her depression. The nurse and the doctor helps her onto the bed and starts prep her. They hook her up to the heart monitor and the doctor checks her vitals with steth insuring the patient is ready for the treatment. The med team inserts a gauze coil into her mouth to protect her teeth and toungue. The doctor places the paddles on her temples. The patient’s full body twitches and seizes during the long cycle. The med team checks her vitals to insure they can continue. The reaction is the same as her limbs limbs react. When the procedure is completed the med team ambu bags her and assists with an O2 mask. Its now time for the next cycle. The patient twitches considerably this time. The med team sees further ambu bagging but it does not work as well, the patient continues to seize until Following the bagging the med team stabilises the patient’s vitals and replaces the O2 mask.
