In honor of the 30th anniversary of the theatrical premiere and release of David Lynch's "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and also my own personal love of the film noir genre, as well as both surrealist video art and vintage silent films by the likes of Man Ray and Maya Deren, I've finally edited and mixed together my personal erotic homage to Lynch's incredible cult classic and prequel to the world famous Twin Peaks television series. This short film is inspired by the fictional story of the last days of Laura Palmer, and also by my interpretations of the mysterious alternate universes of the Red Room and Black Lodge in the series and an experimental approach to making a short film that feels like an arthouse movie as well as an old silent film reel from the 30s or 40s. I wanted to create something special when we made it, and the performances that the beautiful and extremely talented and awesome Fallon West and I put into our roles in the movie is equally inspired by classic film noir as well as interpretive dance and ballet. The complex lighting and camera work was also necessary to achieve the results that were needed to pull this off. Please mind that the opening credits take a very long time, because I want to build up the tension and feeling behind this film. It really is a little movie. This is not simply a run-of-the-mill porn scene. It's a surreal and hopefully mesmerizing tribute to Fire Walk With Me as well as David Lynch's own style and approach to narrative. Plus the sex is super hot!
