I'm so sick and tired of my step-son just lounging around playing video games all day! I confront him about it for the last time. I've been busting my butt all day and he, a grown man, doesn't do anything! I call him out and he's just sitting there. Somewhere in the middle of my rant he shines a little green light. My anger fades. My mind relaxes and goes blank. I don't seem to have any thought in my head. It's quiet. I'm only vaguely aware of my body doing things. But I don't seem to be in control. I also don't seem to have any feeling about it at all. I'm just...there.
