I headed straight to the doctor's office from the gym because my ankle has been bothering me, but when I arrive, I'm surprised to find that my doctor is out on vacation, and Dr. Sahrye KC will be taking care of me instead. She wastes no time getting my sweaty sneakers off, putting them up to her face to "examine their support structures" before getting up close and personal with my sweat-slick socks. Sahrye sniffs my smelly socked feet and spreads my toes underneath the damp socks until I can no longer suspend my disbelief, and I ask her what the hell she thinks she's doing. She tells me to relax, reassuring me, and I lean back as she peels my socks off and continues examining my feet (with her nose, of course).
