SCRIPT: A dimly lit room. A GIRL jolts awake on a couch. She’s wearing unfamiliar dress (too skimpy for her taste). Her eyes dart around—this is NOT her apartment. GIRL - What the hell…? She grips the blanket, scanning the room. It’s clean, modern, but eerily impersonal. A faint city glow seeps through the curtains. She swings her legs off the couch, hesitates, then stands. Her bare feet sink into a plush carpet. She takes a deep breath, panic creeping in. GIRL (thinking aloud) Okay… Think. What happened last night? She rubs her temples. Nothing. A blank slate. But then—a flicker of memory. FLASHBACK: She’s in her own bedroom, looking out the window at a dull cityscape. GIRL (to herself) God, I wish I could just wake up in New York. She flops onto the bed, eyes closing. BACK TO PRESENT: GIRL Oh. Oh no. She looks around, suspicious. GIRL Okay, so... either I’m dreaming. Or I got taken away. Or— (beat, whispers) —aliens? Ghosts?
