My step-mom blew up my big purple balloon until it was tight and perfect. I was so happy—until I accidentally hit her with it while she was working. She gave me that look and asked if I wanted her to pop it. I begged her not to… and she let me keep it. For a while. But when she saw me with it again, her hand reached out.
