You take your girlfriend to visit with you step-mom for the first time. She's thrilled to see you, but you have an announcement to make, and you are nervous. You tell your step-mom that you and your girlfriend have gotten engaged. She's quite surprised, since you haven't been dating for long but seems to take it in stride. At the end of the evening your girlfriend heads to bed and your step-mom asks if you could stay for a few minutes. She asks you if your girlfriend knows.
