I was asked to make a cake for my good friend's birthday, and even though I'd never made a cake before... I said YES. I knew I would get it done, no matter what it took!! They requested a Lemon Cake with raspberry and buttercream. I made a lemon cake, seedless raspberry filling, lemon simple syrup, lemon curd, lemon russian buttercream, and candied lemons. The flavors were AMAZING! At the last minute I decided to film part of this process. This video shows the process of building and decorating of the cake, just hours before I have to take it to the party! To say I was nervous would be an understatement, so please enjoy my chaotic self-coaching and soothing that I do throughout this video, along with my various accents and weird vocal stims that seem to come out of me when I'm focusing hard!
