This is my last grocery haul of the year, but it’s also a real talk about motivation, New Year’s resolutions, and why most of them fail. Spoiler: it’s not because you’re lazy. It’s because you’re relying on mood instead of systems. This year, I’m fully embracing: “F*ck the mood, follow the plan.” I heard it from Leila Hormozi, it hit hard, and I already started applying it. For a long time, I only did things when I felt like it. Turns out — that’s a very common ADHD trait. Waiting for motivation kept me stuck in cycles of starting, stopping, and beating myself up. What actually works for me? Planning ahead Reducing decisions Removing negotiation with myself You’ve seen it before: I do my meal plan on Sunday, cook a big pot of soup, and suddenly I’m not stuck every day asking: “What do I eat today?” No mental gymnastics. No decision fatigue. Just execution. I applied the same logic to work and training. I have a plan. I follow it. I don’t negotiate with myself. I am the type of person who: goes to the gym 4–7 times a week eats ~80% whole foods works efficiently and still has time to enjoy what she loves I claim this for myself.
