I wasn’t even looking for you. One second I’m relaxing… the next, I notice something tiny on my floor. You. Small enough to fit under my foot. Small enough to disappear if I forget about you for a second… which I probably will. At first, it’s curiosity. I study you, compare you to my toes, my soles… realize just how easily you fit into my world. Then it becomes something else. A game. Because when you’re this small, everything changes. Every movement matters. Every step becomes a risk. Every moment of my attention becomes a reward. I can do anything with you. Keep you. Play with you. Let you stay… or forget you exist. So be good. Stay where I can see you. And maybe I’ll let you live right where you belong. Under my feet.
