You and STEPMother move to a remote commune to embark on a new beginning after she meets a charismatic woman named Persephone at a grief support group. On the commune, Persephone is the Leader and she holds an unusual amount of sway over the individual lives of the commune dwellers. It turns out, integration into the community requires commitment to fostering physical intimacy, not just with your own STEPmother, but with many STEPmothers on the commune. Fostering STEPmother-STEPson intimacy that ultimately begets new life is the only path to atone for the life we destroy, according to Persephone.
