Cheryl wants to play inside a clinic and decides to bring some ropes; she wants to tie herself up, but that's not all. She's seen a Guedel tube being used and thinks it's an exciting game. She tries putting it in her mouth, sees it works, and likes it. She pulls it out and tries a second time; it seems very exciting. So she does it a few more times. But this game could become dangerous. The Guedel tube gets stuck, and Cheryl can't get it out. Panic and the irritated, closing airways do the rest. When the nurse enters the room, she must immediately begin CPR. She removes the Guedel tube and begins MTM, followed by chest compressions. The doctor also intervenes to help the girl. Electrodes are placed on her chest, and CPR continues. It becomes necessary to insert an endotracheal tube and continue ventilation.
